Building Drought Resilience in the Northern and Yorke Region.

We have resilient communities, industries and a strong history of responding to drought and climate variability in the Northern and Yorke region. Continuing to build resilience is important in order to adapt to the projected global and regional drivers of change.

The Northern and Yorke Regional Drought Resilience Plan was approved by the Commonwealth in March 2024.

Future Drought Fund

The Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program is a program under the Future Drought Fund and the Northern and Yorke region is one of three regions developing a regional drought resilience plan in South Australia in 2021/22. Find out more about the Future Drought Fund here.
